Sugat Classic Persian Rice is a long, white variety of rice that produces a delicate natural unique aroma, and cooks “ehad-ehad”- “each grain separately”. This special variety grows slowly and develops a natural aroma already in its growing fields, and produces only one growth a year compared to other varieties, which yield three or four growths every year.

There are many imitations of real Persian rice on the market since its external appearance before cooking is similar to many simpler and cheaper varieties.

For many generations this variety of rice was considered to be of the highest quality and taste in Persia. Its favoured position in Persian cuisine gave it the name “Persian Rice”.

Classic Persian rice swells a little during the cooking process.
